Claimed to be BT Call Centre reviewing accounts that had been looking at upgrade options online (which I had 3 days ago), offered me a deal that was poor, but then gave me a legitimate BT retention number to get a better deal as they were not authorized to do this. Didn't ask for any payment details or passwords. When I spoke to BT on the retentions number they confirmed this not a scam call.
